چکیده
During the last ten years, agricultural area in southern Sonora, Mexico, has had greater hourly temperature oscillation associated to growth cycle of common bean sown during fall. The objective this work was evaluate thermal impact caused by high frequency extreme temperatures on production commercial fall-winter season 2021-2022. Four fields were selected based irrigation system used (drip and gravity), two each Yaqui Mayo Valleys. Weather data recorded automated weather station network Sonora closest field also from digital sensors installed within crop. results obtained indicated that with sensor, provided better relationship taken than stations. periods ≥ 33 °C affected trifoliates, flowers, pods both cultivars evaluated Pinto Saltillo Azufrado Higuera. highest grain yield 3,860 kg ha-1 drip irrigated Valley a total water sheet 42 cm, followed gravity 3,560 62 cm.

On the Origin of the Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
Phylogeographic methods provide the tools to accurately access the geographic origin and diversification of crop species. In the present commentary, I urge the common bean community to face those methods and a tree-thinking mentality with regards to the long standing debate of the origin of common bean. Such efforts will ultimately bring back interest into wild bean studies and reinforce the un...
متن کاملEffect of genotypes-Rhizobium-environment interaction on nodulation and productivity of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in eastern Ethiopia
Background: Effectiveness of Rhizobium inoculation is determined by common bean genotypes. Environmental factors also affect common bean genotypes-Rhizobium-symbiosis. The effect of common bean genotypes-Rhizobium strains-environment interaction on nodulation and common bean production is not well studied. Three genotypes (Dursitu, Gofta, and Kufanzik) and eight selected isolates of common bean...
متن کاملEffect of Temperature on Expression of Resistance to Meloidogyne spp. In Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris).
The effect of soil temperature on the expression of resistance in several common bean lines carrying resistance to root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) was studied under controlled temperatures in temperature tank and growth chamber conditions. Resistance to M. javanica and M. incognita race 1 in bean lines A315, A328, A445, G1805, and G2618 was stable at 24-30 C. However, there was a signifi...
